Lineage Logistics Selects Windsor, Colorado for Expansion

Greeley, CO – April 4, 2022 – Lineage Logistics, LLC (“Lineage”), headquartered in Novi, Michigan, preserves, protects and optimizes the distribution of food through innovative technology, streamlined operations, and a global network of facilities. Focusing on cold-storage systems, Lineage is a leader of temperature-controlled logistics, helping to feed the world. Today, Lineage will be breaking ground on a 200,000 square foot facility, in the rail served Great Western Industrial Park in Windsor, Colorado. Lineage’s new facility will primarily support cold storage and distribution for JBS USA to West Coast markets.

Through the public-private collaboration between Lineage, the Town of Windsor, Weld County, and Upstate Colorado Economic Development, the location of this new facility projects to create more than $100M in economic impact. The new facility anticipates creating 80 permanent full-time quality jobs. Construction and hiring will begin in 2022 with operations set to begin in 2023.

The Northern Colorado region’s cluster of food processing and distribution have been identified as key industries poised for growth, making Weld County a strategic location for Lineage to land. Food processing is expected to see an additional 5% growth through 2025 and the distribution cluster is expected to see 9% growth after an amazing 18% growth in market share between 2015 and 2020. Combined, these industries accounted for $3.3 billion GRP in 2020.
