Sphere Renewables Expands Operations in Fort Lupton, Colorado

Greeley, CO – June 5, 2024 – Sphere Renewables, a leader in manufacturing and distribution to the renewable energy industry, proudly announced a significant expansion of its operations in Colorado with a ribbon cutting at their new facility in Fort Lupton. The construction of this new 43,000 square foot facility will serve as Sphere Renewables’ U.S. headquarters for its Colorado operations, showcasing the company’s commitment to its mission of reducing costs of energy by improving efficiencies through local manufacturing solutions.

Richard Grieve, CEO of Sphere Renewables, stated, “Sphere is delighted to continue to invest and grow long-term in Colorado. We appreciate the strong support offered to us by the teams at Weld County and the City of Fort Lupton in ensuring this project is a major success.”

The Sphere Renewables operation in Fort Lupton represents a $10 million investment, which will enhance the company’s production capabilities, and contribute to Weld County’s advanced manufacturing and energy sectors. The expansion is anticipated to create approximately 75 new jobs in the Fort Lupton area, offering meaningful employment opportunities for the region.

While expanding its footprint in Fort Lupton, Sphere Renewables will maintain its existing facilities, including the operational facility in Commerce City.
